Ever since I can remember, I’ve dreamt of immersing myself in a styled photoshoot. Not only would it allow me to connect with talented vendors in the wedding industry, but I knew it had the potential to be an extraordinary experience.
Driven by my all-or-nothing mentality, I delved into the planning process. What aesthetic did I envision for this styled shoot? What vibes did I want to emanate, and where would this vision find its perfect canvas?
These questions are where all of my planning started. After some deep thought, I realised that I had always envisioned a truly breathtaking setting for my own wedding one day. While I am fortunate to live in the beautiful New Zealand, I wanted this photoshoot to be something different, a location that would truly capture the essence of love and dreams. I instantly knew that Europe was the ultimate destination for me, a place that held so many dreams and so much love in my heart. Imagining and dreaming of an Italian wedding made my vision come to life.
I envisioned this styled photoshoot to inspire fellow New Zealanders. A unique and captivating collection of images that demonstrates that even if circumstances prevent us from traveling abroad, we can still create a stunning European-style wedding right here in our own beautiful country. Let me share a little story with you. About 5 years ago, a young woman named Eilish was shopping at Glassons and couldn’t resist spending some money she probably shouldn’t have. But then, something amazing happened. She spotted a beautiful woman working behind the counter. Without hesitation, Eilish approached this captivating woman and boldly asked if she was a model. And that’s how it all began.
Courtney, the stunning woman, agreed to let Eilish capture her portrait. They had an incredible photoshoot in a sunflower field and quickly became friends. As I started planning this styled photoshoot, I pondered the idea of using professional models. But deep down, I knew I wanted the connection between the couple to be genuine.
Then it hit me! I realised that there was no need to search far and wide for models. I knew a gorgeous pair right there in Auckland who would be willing to have their photograph taken. And that pair is none other than Courtney and Nick. I am at a loss for words when it comes to describing just how amazing they were!
