Remote And Serene Wedding Locations

My job takes me to so many incredible places and Emma’s family farm was tip top on this list. The breathtaking scenery was nestled in the foothills of the Ruahine Forest Park. An area of NZ that I had never seen before and I was amazed! Such a beautiful part of our awesome country. This is what makes your wedding portraits even more sentimental than they already are, by cultivating the surroundings you may already be fortunate enough to utilise and turning it into a celebration that is super special for not only you but your family too. A Wedding that will always be dear to your hearts.

Clear Umbrellas, Colourful Confetti and BIG Tractors

As a wedding photographer it is always so much fun being able to capture a day that is unique and special to YOU as a couple. Thats why I loved the fact that the way Emma arrived to her Wedding was with a huge old tractor that you definitely heard before you could see 🤣 I loved it and made for some dynamic portraits which was so fun.

Colourful Confetti – Now this may not be something out of the ordinary but what made this super cool was, because it was raining and the bridal party made use of the clear umbrellas as a reliable prop for their celebration the confetti stuck straight onto the umbrellas making for an awesome and colourful moment. So instead of having just the see-through brolly’s they now had a polka dot vibe which added a cute spice to their walking-down-the-aisle portraits!

Funky, Artsy Air BnB For The ‘Getting Ready’ Shots

Emma chose an awesome Air BnB location for her and her bridesmaids to stay at the night before her big day. This artsy home use to be part of the church and made for the most epic portraits and product photographs. So I urge you, If you are getting ready off-location from your Ceremony then try and find a place that has a lot of character. Making your photographs even more unique and special.

A Reception Dress And Why It’s An Awesome Option To Have If Rain Is Forecasted For Your Wedding Day

Emma looked absolutely INCREDIBLE in her Paper Swan Bride Gown and it was truly made for her. But once the festivities carried on through the day the rain also didn’t want to stop joining in with the celebration 😂 The rain had made the brides dress quite heavy and I think it was quite a relief for her knowing she had her reception dress to step into. This was a gorgeous Shona Joy piece that had a cutout on the back and came above the knees. This gave the bride a a lot of variety for her stunning bridal portraits which we had a lot of fun with!

Thank you so much to the wonderful Emma and Peter for trusting in me to document some of your most special moments, I am SO lucky!!! I enjoyed every second of it!
